Congratulations to the winners of the 2016 Study Abroad Photo and Video Contests!
First Place
Michael McRoskey - London Fall

Notre Dame Chemical Engineer Soren Kyhl ('18) finishes giving a piggy-back ride to a Syrian boy, age 7, in a refugee camp in Greece.
Second Place
Laura Gruszka - London Spring

Part of our tour in Morocco included a camel ride on the beach, which was as hectic and smelly as it sounds. We each waited our turn to hop onto camel backs as other tour members toppled off their animals. When I dismounted my kneeling animal, it turned to me and jammed its wet nose in my face. My friend Jake Ricci took this photo of me, which didn't capture the smelly interaction; what it did capture, though, was the camel's smug ambivalence and my joy and surprise.
Third Place
Robin Seay - Dublin Fall

We took a weekend trip up to Nærøyfjord, Flam, Norway and got to take a boat tour through this stunning fjord.
Honorable Mention
Madison Walsh - Angers Spring

This photo was taken under the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France after two other Notre Dame students and I finished the Paris Color Run 5k.
Honorable Mention
Kevin Warten - London Summer Engineering

While it wasn't the most ideal weather for a ride in the London Eye, the raindrops collected on the capsule windows provided a unique overlay to Big Ben and the Palace of Westminster. High above the rooftops of London, I couldn't help but think, "second rain drop to the right and straight on till morning."
First Place
John Rushemeza - Santiago Fall
This is a short compilation video of the many amazing adventures Chile had for me and the rest of my study abroad group this past fall. All of the clips included in this video were taken within the country of Chile, spanning from the northern Atacama desert all the way to the south end in Patagonia. I hope you all enjoy!
