In 1964, Notre Dame established its first study abroad program in Innsbruck, Austria. Today, there are 48 semester and academic-year programs and 19 summer programs spread across 26 countries. Because we believe every student should have the opportunity to study abroad, our programs suit a variety of schedules and interests. We’re here to help you pick the right one.
But it’s not just the quantity of our programs – it’s the quality. Once abroad, our students go further than studying in a different country or in a different language. They immerse themselves in the local culture. They tackle service projects, internships, research, extracurricular activities, and field trips, all of which open their eyes to new cultures, new people, and new mindsets.
We expect our students will be challenged. They will be forced from their comfort zone, but we at Notre Dame International believe the experience can and will make our students stronger global citizens, and more informed global leaders.
