Located at the prestigious Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU) in Almaty, Kazakhstan, the American Councils for International Education proudly offers Notre Dame students placement into their Advanced Russian Language and Area Studies Program (RLASP). The program features include homestays, weekly excursions, travel to other regions outside the host city, conversation partners, and a wide range of opportunities to pursue internships, volunteering, hobbies, and personal interests in a Russian-language context.
All courses are taught in Russian by expert faculty with experience teaching international students. RLASP Almaty participants attend classes at the downtown campus, conveniently located in the heart of Almaty. The faculty and staff of KazNU closely collaborate with American Councils, take an active interest in the success of RLASP students, and are prepared to provide additional assistance to students at all times. Students gain credit in literature, history, political science, and contemporary society.
