Why did you choose this study abroad program? My identity as a Chinese-American has always been a defining part of who I am, and I chose this program because I hope to learn more about my ethnic identity and improve my Mandarin by immersing myself first-hand in China’s rich culture encompassing thousands of years-worth of history, language, customs, and philosophy. There is no better place to do this than the heart of the country, its capital of Beijing, which is a city that perfectly encapsulates China's dynamic blend of tradition and modernity. Furthermore, an accounting major, studying here provides me with an invaluable opportunity to explore one of the world’s fastest-growing economies and broaden my perspective of business around the globe.
