2024 Program Dates: May 15 - June 5
This three-credit, three week program will travel to Mumbai, India to give students the opportunity to learn about Indian culture, history, politics, and society both in the classroom and through a variety of cultural activities and excursions. The first week of the program will be taught at the end of the spring semester on Notre Dame's campus and will include a thorough introduction to area studies and to India. Students will then travel for three weeks to Mumbai, India during the summer to attend a range of courses at St. Xavier's University taught by local professors. In addition to the classroom sessions, students will participate in a variety of activities, including visiting a Bollywood Studio and the Bombay Stock Exchange, trekking around Matheran, and participating in a service activity to support underprivileged youth.
