In 1964, Notre Dame established its first study abroad program in Innsbruck, Austria. Today, there are over 50 semester and academic-year programs and over 20 summer programs spread across more than 25 countries. Because we believe studying abroad is an essential part of a student's Notre Dame education, our programs suit all colleges and majors. We’re here to help you pick the right one.
But it’s not just the quantity of our programs – it’s the quality. Once abroad, our students go further than studying in a different country or in a different language. They immerse themselves in the local culture. They tackle service projects, internships, research, extracurricular activities, and field trips, all of which open their eyes to new cultures, new people, and new mindsets.
We expect our students will be challenged. They will be forced from their comfort zone, but we at Notre Dame Global believe the experience can and will make our students stronger global citizens and future global leaders.
