The London Summer Program (LSP) offers an exciting opportunity for students in all fields of study to live and learn in one of the most international cities in the world. London provides Notre Dame undergraduates with a unique environment in which to broaden their intellectual and cultural horizons.

The program begins with an orientation. During the six-week program, students take two courses earning a total of six credits which can include courses that fulfill university requirements. Classes are taught at the impressive academic building known as Fischer Hall located on Suffolk Street next to the National Gallery just off Trafalgar Square. Classes in the London Summer Program are taught by many of the same London-based faculty who teach in the regular academic year program as well as visiting Notre Dame faculty. Students can undertake co-curricular activities while they are in London to deepen their experience of British culture, expand their intellectual horizons, and perhaps even develop their career prospects. Courses may include visiting museums and art galleries, attending theater performances, or visiting historic sites.

All of London is the backdrop for student studies. Some courses on the LSP involve field trips within London and beyond, which take place on teaching days. The costs of all performances, exhibitions, and class trips outside central London are covered by the program. The LSP will also offer optional day-trips on the weekends (at additional cost). The program also allows for one four-day long weekend for independent travel.
