Notre Dame International (NDI) Partners with the CSLC for a Global Roundtable

Author: Luke Van de Walle

Notre Dame International’s (NDI) Global Roundtable Series is partnering with the CSLC!

The Global Roundtable Series is an avenue for viewers to gain a global perspective on some of the world’s most pressing issues. Throughout the semester, the Roundtable Series will partner with different departments and institutes throughout campus as well as speakers from partnering universities and institutions throughout the world.

The Global Roundtable Series is designed to promote international dialogue on important issues in a way that enlivens the Catholic mission, continues Notre Dame’s efforts to reach for global perspectives, creates an environment where differing views can be compared, and sparks new and revolutionary ideas to address the globe’s most compelling challenges. While international travel is currently less feasible, the Global Roundtable Series provides a virtual alternative to international conversations.

Previous Global Roundtable discussions featured the topics of domestic violence during COVID lockdowns, race and building community, and social distancing successes and challenges.

The next Global Roundtable will take place on April 15 at 11:00 A.M. and is co-sponsored by the CSLC. It will highlight Notre Dame’s engagement with the international student community both on campus and abroad. Moderated by Michael Pippenger, vice president and associate provost for internationalization, graduate and undergraduate representatives will discuss their experience as international students at Notre Dame, how they have been able to engage with the community, and where international student engagement efforts will go from here. Register for the event here.
