Judy Hutchinson

Judy Hutchinson, senior associate director, is responsible for several key initiatives which include: student engagement programming and development, internships, wellness education, promoting intercultural development for study abroad, community engagement or other experiential learning opportunities. Judy also advises students interested in study abroad programs throughout the United Kingdom, working closely with them through each stage of the study abroad process.

From 2013-2018 she served as the Director of Student Affairs at the Notre Dame London location, where, together with the residence hall staff she was responsible for the pastoral and formative care of our study abroad students. Other responsibilities included student health and safety, cultural immersion and extra-curricular and co-curricular programming. As Director, she also coordinated the student internship program in collaboration with over 30 different schools, charities, corporations, government entities and other organizations.

Prior to that, Judy was an Associate Director with Notre Dame Global, where she coordinated study abroad programs in London, Cairo and Jerusalem. She also served as a Rector for 9 years on the main campus and for 2 years with our London Program. Additionally, she worked for the Office of Campus Ministry in their retreat program.

A proud Michigander from Grand Rapids, Hutchinson attained both her BA and Masters from Loyola University in New Orleans. She is passionate about travel, Italy, and dogs.
